J'IRAI LÀ-BAS

IN DEVELOPMENT

Logline | In 2017, I discovered footage shot in Lebanon in 1986-1987 by my brother Patrick Touchard. He was a prominent cameraman and had a project to make a film about his colleagues, war reporters. These men, whose profession led them to live far from home and take risks, were part of his environment. Like him, they made difficult life choices and had strong friendships linked to danger. In 1987, my brother passed away and his project remained unfinished.
"J'irai Là-Bas" is the story of my journey into my brother's footage, my encounter with the men he worked with, and Lebanon as I will discover it today.
